Possible Virus?!

Soooooo, I think that my little girl has a tummy virus =(
Let me first tell you... in all of her bottles we put cereal because of her reflux. I've tried cutting down on it and when I do about half of her bottle comes back out again within an hour.. not good. So, its cereal we have to use. Anyway, because of that, she generally needs some "encouragement" to poop in the form usually of juice, approved by my doctor. Man my little girl loves pear juice haha.
So Friday, she started pooping without any help and I was happy for her (only moms are happy when someone poops) but then I realized after the 3 time it was very runny, not like her usual poops. She was very fussy on Friday, but my mom was watching her and said she just seemed tired.
Saturday and Sunday, the runny pooping continued, but she wasn't acting any different! Heck Sunday we drove 3 hours to Columbus, spent 4 hours there and 3 hours back and she was a complete happy angel.
Well when today was continuing with the runny poop, I called the doctor.
He said that she probably has a little tummy virus so to continue giving her the same formula we use (Similiac Sensitive) and give her Pedialyte between each bottle which we already do because he told us to do so about 2 weeks aog at her 2 months appointment. He said that it should go away by 7 days, but to watch for blood in her poop or a fever in which case it is off to the hospital we go =(
She just seems a little fussy, but this morning she was such a happy little girl!
I hope she doesn't get sicker and that she gets better!

  1. Poor kid =(
We too have to put cereal in all our daughters bottles. We just started weaning her from the rice cereal bottles and she is doing great! So there is a light at the end of the tunnel =) She still uses Enfamil AR. It has rice starch, but atleast I dont have to add rice cereal to those darn bottles anymore! lol
Hope your little one feels better soon!
